Unmanned aerial vehicle's operators detected one AFU stronghold. The target was attacked by FPV-drone. As a result, the AFU stronghold with military personnel was destroyed.
As Russia ratchets up the nuclear threat over the past few days, following their invasion of Ukraine, one of the weapons on people’s minds is Poseidon . This nuclear ‘mega torpedo’ is unique in the history of the world. Despite speculation, we do not believe that Poseidon has been deployed. The system is not yet ready. But it does raise concerns for nuclear stability in the near future. It changes the shape of nuclear deterrence and will become one of Russia’s most feared weapons. Poseidon is an ‘Intercontinental Nuclear-Powered Nuclear-Armed Autonomous Torpedo’. It is a giant torpedo which can hit coastal cities with devastating results. Compared to an intercontinental ballistic missile it is very slow, but possibly unstoppable . Russia maintains that it can also be used as a tactical nuclear weapon against warships. High-value targets would include aircraft carriers. This is harder to rationalize than the second-strike nuclear deterrence role, but it is ...
This long, dramatically shaped gun is one of only five highly decorated Sinhalese long arms ( bondikula thuwakkuwa ) known to survive from the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. Measuring more than seven feet in length it features a bifurcated butt––a characteristic unique to Sinhalese guns, thought to be in use since as early as the sixteenth century––and is distinguished by its remarkable ornamentation. Pierced ivory panels, sensitively carved with scrolling foliate designs ( liya vela and liya pata ) that emanate from and around two central flowers ( sīna-mala ), are inset into the stock, which itself is carved with scrolling foliate ornament ( liya pata ). Silver plates embossed with screwpine flowers ( vetakeyiya mala ) frame the lock, which is positioned on the left side of the gun, as was standard on Sinhalese firearms of the period. The two-stage barrel, with brass-inlaid transverse bands at its transition, is silver-damascened with an undulating vegetal motif ( l...
The JY-14 (domestic designation: LLQ302 , formerly known as: 384 ) is a medium to long range air defense radar produced and used by the People's Republic of China . It is capable of detecting multiple targets within its range and determine their parameters, tracking them even through surface clutter and ECM jamming. It utilizes a frequency-agile mode with 31 different frequencies, has a large band of ECCM operating parameter frequencies, and uses linear FM compression. This system can simultaneously track up to 100 targets and can feed the data to missile-interceptor batteries. It can track targets flying as high as 75,000 feet (22,900 m) and 186 miles (299 km) in distance. The system is notable for having wideband frequency diversity and adaptive pulse-to-pulse agility, enabling it to track even the most morphic radar signatures. It is the most common ground radar in ...
