Su-57
Su-57 is a 5th generation multifunctional fighter designed to destroy all types of air targets in long-range and close combat, to destroy enemy ground and surface targets with overcoming enemy air defense systems, to monitor airspace at large distances from the base, to destroy the action control system enemy aircraft.
Su-57 implemented:
high maneuverability and flight performance;
long supersonic cruising flight;
Short takeoff and landing
· measures to ensure low radar and infrared visibility;
· omnidirectional and multi-channel use of weapons against both air and ground (sea) targets;
· a qualitatively new level of aircraft protection by passive and active means, including as part of a group;
· high noise immunity of OBE and ASP operation.
The fifth generation aircraft has the most advanced avionics system with unprecedented characteristics.
The Su-57 is equipped with a fundamentally new set of deeply integrated avionics with an open architecture, which has a high level of control automation and intelligent crew support with the possibility of expansion and modernization. The implementation of an open architecture greatly reduces the load on the pilot and allows you to concentrate on performing tactical tasks.
The onboard equipment of the new aircraft allows for real-time data exchange both with ground control systems and within the aviation group, as well as performing tasks autonomously.
The aircraft has a wide range of weapons, both air-to-air and air-to-surface, which provide fighter and strike missions.
Su-57 has the ability to carry out covert actions, due to the low level of visibility in the radar, infrared and visible ranges. The experimental work carried out allows us to consider the aerodynamic characteristics of the aircraft as one of the best in its class.
One of the features of the Su-57 is the widespread use of composite materials in the airframe design. On the one hand, such structures have high rates of weight return when operating under complex loading conditions. On the other hand, the technology for manufacturing honeycomb panels has been mastered by production, which has made it possible to reduce the level of risk, significantly expand the scope of composite materials and bring the total percentage of PCM in the Su-57 design to 24%. In addition, the use of large-sized panels made it possible to significantly reduce the labor intensity of assembly work.
The auxiliary power unit installed on the Su-57 ensures high basing autonomy, reduced fuel consumption during ground testing and saving the life of sustainer engines. The use of an onboard oxygen-producing unit ensures practically unlimited flight time and the exclusion of ground oxygen refueling. The use of a generator-type neutral gas explosion safety system on the aircraft, in conjunction with other measures, made it possible not only to ensure the autonomy of the basing, but also to realize the unprecedented characteristics of the combat survivability of the aircraft.
The Su-57 uses a new Escape Means Complex, which ensures the rescue of the pilot in emergency situations over the entire range of altitudes and speeds of its use.
The aircraft has implemented a new approach to maintenance (TO) of the aircraft due to:
· Adaptation of the aircraft maintenance system to the operating conditions adopted by the Customer;
· Optimization of the types of maintenance and the frequency of their implementation with the exclusion of routine maintenance and the replacement of overhaul by control and restoration work;
Use of built-in controls for all types of maintenance;
Preparation of the aircraft for flights by one aircraft technician with connection
specialists of variable composition (2-6 people), included in the technical calculation, providing training for flights of a group of aircraft;
· Perform periodic maintenance without dismantling the equipment from the aircraft;
Use of universal means of ground automated control
to check the dismantled on-board equipment;
Using only the current automatic control mode
aircraft systems and equipment during its preparation for flights;
· Checks of systems and equipment, replacement of equipment on the first line by one specialist.
Thus, the set of technical solutions embedded in the Su-57 made it possible to obtain a qualitatively new level of performance and ensure superiority over all modern aircraft of this class.
The Su-57 is the most advanced aircraft in the product line of the Sukhoi Company and, starting from 2020, will become the company's main product in the aviation market.
