Chinese version of the Russian MiG-21



The Chengdu J-7 is a Chinese license-built version of the Russian supersonic jet Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-21. The aircraft was produced from 1965 to 2013 and remains in service mostly as an interceptor aircraft in various air forces, which includes the People’s Liberation Army Air Force.

Russia’s New ‘Poseidon’ Super-Weapon

  As Russia  ratchets up the nuclear threat  over the past few days, following their invasion of Ukraine, one of the weapons  on people’s minds is Poseidon . This nuclear ‘mega torpedo’ is unique in the history of the world. Despite speculation, we do not believe that Poseidon has been deployed. The system is not yet ready. But it does raise concerns for nuclear stability in the near future. It changes the shape of nuclear deterrence and will become one of Russia’s most feared weapons. Poseidon is an ‘Intercontinental Nuclear-Powered Nuclear-Armed Autonomous Torpedo’. It is a giant torpedo which can hit coastal cities with devastating results.   The  AN/SEQ-3 Laser Weapon System  or  XN-1 LaWS [1]  is a  laser weapon  developed by the  United States Navy . The weapon was installed on  USS  Ponce  for field testing in 2014. In December 2014, the United States Navy reported that the LaWS system worked perfectly against low-end  asymmetric  threats, and that the commander of  Ponce  was authorized to use the system as a defensive weapon. The LaWS is a ship-defense system that has so far publicly engaged an  unmanned aerial vehicle  (UAV or drone) and a simulated small-boat attacker. LaWS uses an infrared beam from a  solid-state laser  array which can be tuned to high output to destroy a target or low output to warn or cripple the sensors of a target.
